Rio Grande Savings and Loan Association
Rio Grande Savings and Loan is a mutually owned savings association founded in 1905 as the Monte Vista Building Association. The founders of the association saw a need for home financing in the community. They quickly realized that the source of financing of those homes could only be met with the pooling of funds from members of the community. From that point on, the goal of the association was to provide a place where the members of the communities it serves could find reasonable rates on loans while those providing the funds could have a safe place to deposit their funds and receive a reasonable return on their investment. www.rgsla.com
