System Requirements:
The following are the minimum hardware and software requirements for all computer systems with Questys installed. Computer systems which do not meet these requirements may not allow Questys to achieve optimal performance and could restrict several features normally available in Questys. Performance may also be affected by network traffic and capacity. For more information about Questys and recommended computer systems, please contact our Sales Department.

There is a wide variety of software components used with Questys. These components range from the foundation of the Questys software to Internet interfaces, enhancing the performance of Questys. The following are supported software components that are commonly used with Questys.

Operating Systems
At the foundation of the Questys software is the operating system. Questys currently supports the following Network Operating Systems and Operating Systems.

Database Management Software
Performance and scalability is directly related to the DBMS. Simple standalone Questys applications are Microsoft Access based, however customers demanding more performance and scalability may upsize their DBMS to one of the other supported versions.

E-mail manager
Questys is integrated with Microsoft Outlook. Users can easily search for documents and send the pages to an email recipient.

As with any mission critical data, backup to tape maintains a disaster recovery method in the event that data is lost or corrupted.

Optical backup
In the effort of many businesses and government agencies to 'go paperless', Questys is implemented with the intention of destroying the documents after they are archived. Many states require electronic documents to be stored on 'write once, read many' (WORM) optical media in order to be permissible in court*. Questys accomplishes this by using Legato DiskXtender 2000 to copy the archived documents to WORM media.

Virus protection software
Computer viruses will always be a danger to any system and therefore measures need to be taken to help protect the system from data corruption or loss.
